My name is Eva Zils.
I am a native German, like the English language, have been living in France for more than 13 years and have started working in the international online recruitment industry in 2004.
At first, I have been working in job posting and HR communication agencies in Lyon (France) and Kehl/Berlin (Germany) for 8 years.
Nowadays, I consult companies, agencies, investors and job portals in their online recruitment and (social) marketing strategies & media planning, optimise their online HR communications, do a lot of research and produce valuable insights and analyses on international online recruitment trends.
What I also do is blog about international, HR technology-related stuff (mostly strategy, acquisitions, investments, startups and news), social recruiting, HR events and mobile recruiting.
In 2013 and 2014 I have co-authored in the German-speaking Social Media Recruitment Bestseller “Praxishandbuch Social Media Recruiting” where I have written the chapter on German-speaking job portals and their efforts with regard to social recruiting.
In 2015, I have initiated, organised and carried out the first HR Hackathon in Berlin.
During the 2-day event, 8 teams – consisting of both developers and HR professionals – created new HR software prototypes.
I was born and grew up in South-Western Germany, in the beautiful region of Baden, which is situated in between France’s Alsace and Switzerland. During my free time, I very much enjoy riding my bike in the countryside, English-speaking mystery TV shows, playing table tennis, networking and travelling.
