This post in German.

Monster Worldwide are communicating a lot these days. Let’s have it all in one piece:

  • Monster will have their own TV channel on US cable VOD-provider Comcast Searchlight. Job seekers can find jobs per “Monster on Demand” and can have a closer look at the ad by inserting the Online-ID on the site MonsterOnDemand.com. Just for fun, please try this: Go on the demand-site and type “1234″ in the Online ID field. See what happens: more than 5,000 jobs are listed. I don’t get it.
  • Monster sponsors the promotional book tour of Marcus Buckingham who presents his book “The truth about You”, destined for readers of Generation Y. The book title matches perfectly well with Monster’s esoteric company dogma “Your calling is calling”.
  • It seems that the job site is planning to relaunch its pages on January 1st 2009. Hadn’t they done so already this year? In the ad that Chris Russell had found in Workforce Magazine and had posted on his blog, the title says: “To create our new web site required a ton of man power. At least we knew where to hire.” Yeah, good for them they recruited IT people in the US: on the German Monster site, IT profiles are performing extremely lousy these days. And Monster’s only comment to this is the current IT skill shortage in the country… a bit poor for an explanation.
